Central Coast Studios will be a world leading facility for film and television production, servicing the needs of the many global and domestic production companies who wish to film in Australia but are currently unable to find an available facility of international standards.
Throughout the complex, the design will ensure superior technical support with high end fit-out including NC rated air conditioning, HV power and extensive roof/floor loading capacity. All studios will have vehicle and truck access. Production consideration will be applied to power requirements, roof heights and loadings, floor levelling and loadings door widths and placement, personnel, scenery, set dressing, props and vehicle access and fire services.
Cost effective, solar panels will be installed on all stages to engage renewable energy, minimise our carbon footprint and take advantage of cost savings on power. Electricity, air conditioning and telephones will operate on a “user pays” system with a surcharge to manage the billing, repair and maintenance of the equipment.
Central Coast Studios aims to invest some of their smart energy savings back into the local community by providing rebates to productions who employ local cast and crew.
Central Coast Studios will provide an entertaining, exciting for guests as they are welcomed to the precint. We will also provide opportunities for the public to be involved in these moments which will help create momentum for upcoming projects at the studios.
Central Coast Studios will be positioned as a premier and world class film, television and new media production facility. The overall concept of Central Coast Studios is a professional working studio facility. The configuration of the studio lot will meet or exceed international industry standards.
The design will allow the complex to target international production of feature films, mini-series, telemovies and television drama series. Each building will be surrounded by interchangeable exterior flat facades. We will have exterior scenes of popular streets that could be used for filming such as Shanghai, New York, London, Morocco or Venice. One of the exteriors will be adorned with indigenous paintings.
Our concierge team at Central Coast Studios will recommend and connect guests with unique Central Coast experiences.
